Bas Janmaat was born on 1 October 1962 in Haarlem. He began piano lessons at an early age. To get more knowledge of chords, he followed 3 years guitar lessons with jazz guitarist Bill Arendsma. All sorts of bands followed from his 15th with varying results. In the early 80 's he played at The Jake with frontman and singer Rob Acda who also stood at the cradle of the Liberation popfestival and Patronaat.
Of the ska and Dutch Pop he moved on to the melodic rock. The organ and Rhodes were exchanged for the different synthesizers. Through the Rock band Roulette from Gouda, he came into contact with Jacob Mook and eventually they played many years together in d'Avanti Fontello. Winning the Middle Popmatch Netherlands and Radio event Lost Vast could not prevent action after the umpteenth change. They decided to band together in the music studio. From classical to modern children's songs.
Different singers did the vocal parts and in 2008 the cooperation started with Monique Brown. She is an experienced singer and singing teacher with an impressive track record. As daughter of a musician, she did take part at the age of 14 of the UNICEF Gala. Better know as the International Danny Kay Childrens Award with a song written by Marcel Schimscheimer.
Jacob Mook was born on 6 May 1963 in Vlaardingen. He studied guitar at the Conservatory at a young age already. At the same time, he learned in piano. Then passed various school bands. The band Smoke & Dance brought the first success. They won Kro's school graduation festival 1985 followed by a performance in the Brabandhalls. In 1986 they were «Vara's Popkrant band.
