Man Made Ivory

Formed in the summer of 2007 the band made an auspicious start, opening for Biffy Clyro in their first ever live performance. The band continued to build their live reputation and reached the final of The Clash Of The Titans in 2011.

With drummer Jordi Langelaan’s engineering and music producing experience at BITM Studios they were able to pay detailed attention to the pre-production of their material but, like Rome, the new BITM Studios weren’t built in a day. This meant the band only started recording their debut album in January 2011. In the meantime they took their songs back on the road, further enhancing their live reputation; playing well known venues like Melkweg and various festivals and radio shows (3FM) throughout The Netherlands, garnering the following reviews:

The MMI band members grew up listening to icons like Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains and although these bands had an immense influence on their musical careers, Man Made Ivory set out to establish their own individual sound which emphasizes their huge love of rock music.

Expect the band’s live shows to be filled with strong guitar riffs mixed and alternated with subtle soundscapes and guaranteed crowd movers.
