This year has started out very nice, with lots of new material written and the prospect of a new recording session this summer. Next gig will be an acoustic one in Heerhugowaard on the 29th of January.

Long time since an update. Busy busy busy. We finished all our 12 songs and want to put them out on a cd. 24th-december-2008: A couple of weeks ago Menno decided to leave Encircle. Raymond and Sander wish him the best with his other musical explorations.

We started the search for a new drummer right away and after a day we found Tom Rutgers. The next week we went into the rehearsal room and hit it off right away, jamming away 2 new song ideas!

At this point we have a setlist of nine songs, wich we will be polishing over the next weeks for our next show on the 17th of january in Mukkes (Leeuwarden).

ENCIRCLE is a heavy-pop/punk/dirge combo spawned from the bowels of Den Helder, Noord Holland. Although only together for 127612874 years, the bandmembers have blessed the world with a promo, a DEMO entitled "No Regrets," and NO cut on the Sub Pop 200 compilation, as well as attaining success, fame, and a following of millions. Releasing their latest album "Things that where ment to happen" is their main priority next year, hopefully promoting the record with lots of powerrock shows. Rumour tells us they are already working on material for their next next record (WHATWHATWHAT!) Selling their bottled sweat and locks of their hair has proved to be the biggest money maker so far. Plans for the future include dolls, pee-chee folders, lunch boxes, and bed sheets. In the towering offices of the Sub Pop world headquarters, talent agent dynamo's Bruce Pavitt and Jonathan Poneman haven't had the change to get the outmost faith in ENCIRCLE's star qualities, and they'll have to start seeing to it that the boys in the band get whatever their rock star hearts desire--and that means no brown M+Ms! ENCIRCLE hopes to produce projects with them in the future. Also endorsements are highly recommended since everything they touch, doesn't turn into gold, but shatters into tiny bits and pieces. How lucky do you feel lending them your guitars/ amps and drumkits! ENCIRCLE doesn't strive to sound like mid-tempo Black Sabbath playing the knack, White Flag, the Stooges, and a pinch of the- Bay City Rollers. Their personal musical influences include Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Muse, divorces, drugs, sound effects records, the Beatles, rednecks, hard rock, punk rock, Slayer, and, of course, the Stooges! ENCIRCLE sees the underground scene as becoming stagnant and more accessible to big league capitalist pig major record labels. But does ENCIRCLE feel a moral duty to fight this cancerous evil? NO WAY ! We want to cash in and suck up to the big wigs in hopes that we too can GET HIGH AND FUCK. GET HIGH AND FUCK. GET HIGH AND FUCK. SOON we will need groupie repellant. SOON we will be coming to your town and asking if we can stay over at your house and use the stove.
