Santanero has found its foundation in the magical sounds of reggae, but gets its inspiration from many different types of music. Most of the bandmembers have been raised and lived a big part of their lives in the caribbean (Aruba) where they got introduced to a melting pot of music and are using this in their own creative way.

2008 has been a breakthrough year for Santanero as they have played a number of respected venues like Melkweg, Tivoli, Paard van Troje and W2. Never dissapointing and always bringing a smile to your face.

In 2009 they released their first ‘mini-album’ containing 8 tracks showing you that different genres can be combined together. Each song has a unique blend of styles from old school ska to punk-ska to roots-reggae, while maintaining the trusted Santanero sound.
