Colonne In the mid ’90 two young men met each other at high school in Rotterdam. If music was the question, alternative would be the answer for those two. With more on there mind then just school they travelled around the country-side of Holland. While visiting cities and discovering music, their friendship grew. Occasionally each played in different bands with different styles, but always with the same passion, real and from the heart. In 2002 they realized music was their fundament so they got together and decided to form a band.  Some friends, on occasion filled in the different parts to be played, …..so Colonne was born. Until 2011 the music-style could be best named singer-songwriter, and Colonne wrote and recorded lots, exploring there own possibilities and imagination. During the summer Colonne felt the need to let the music evolve. It began by the search for a new drummer. One connected his nephew. Right from the start, at the first jam-session it was obvious Colonne found it's new direction. Cohesion and challenge, tight drumbeats, sleazy guitar riffs, opposites and emotional vocals is what Colonne is all about. To take each part in the band serious, there was one blank spot yet to be filled, the deep pacing sound that supports the rhythm.
