blayze and thunder

Blayze & Thunder are female songwriters/rappers/singers from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Their music is inspired by their own life experiences.

In their beginning years they were members of a group called Dirty Tonguez which was comprised of members hailing from various ethnic backgrounds. They recorded tracks and performed them but found it difficult balancing a hectic work life with their commitment to one another and sadly split in 2006. However everybody continued with their own music projects and do so until now.  Blayze & Thunder stayed together through the split, continued their friendship and continued producing music.

At the beginning of November 2010, Blayze and Thunder were approached online by American promoters. The result; their single “Gettin’ On My Nerves" was featured on an American mixtape called “About To Shine” which was hosted by the famous DJ Vlad (Executive Vice President at Loud.com, part of the SRC/Universal family. He is also CEO of VladTV.com). They also shot a promo video for “Gettin’ On My Nerves” and it’s now available online.

Not long after that on the 23rd November 2010; Blayze and Thunder released their first mixtape called “Hate 2 Love” that features tracks such as “Loca”, “Hate 2 Love” and “Tomorrow.” Their music is a mix of rap and dance music but some of their songs are also influenced by genres such as reggae, kuduro and R&B.

At the moment they are working on their second mixtape which they are planning to release in the summer of 2011.
